Publishing Templates
Share your agent templates, skills, workflows, and plugins with the HELIX community by submitting them to the marketplace.
Requirements
- Pro plan or higher is required to submit templates
- A creator profile (auto-created on first submission if you don't have one)
Submission Wizard
Navigate to Marketplace > Submit Template in your HELIX instance.
Step 1: Choose Type
Select the type of template you want to publish:
- Agent Template — A pre-configured AI agent with system prompt, skills, and department/board setup
- Skill Template — A knowledge document that teaches agents domain expertise
- Workflow Template — A multi-step automation with agent assignments and dependencies
- Plugin Template — An external service integration with API configuration
Step 2: Basic Info
Fill in the template details:

| Emoji | An emoji icon for the template card |
| Description | Short description (max 500 characters) |
| Long Description | Detailed markdown description |
| Category | Select from available categories |
| Tags | Comma-separated tags (max 10) |
Step 3: Template Content
Two options:
- Export Existing — Select an agent, skill, or workflow from your instance. The manifest is automatically generated from your configuration.
- Paste JSON — Paste a manifest JSON file directly.
TIP
Use the Export feature on any agent or skill to generate a manifest JSON file that you can then submit.
Step 4: Preview
Review how your template will appear in the marketplace before submitting.
Step 5: Submit
Confirm and submit for review. You'll receive a submission ID to track status.
Review Process
After submission, your template goes through review:
- Pending — Submitted, waiting for review
- In Review — Being reviewed by the HelixNode team
- Approved — Published to the marketplace
- Revision Requested — Changes needed (you can update and resubmit)
- Rejected — Not accepted (reason provided)
Submission Guidelines
- Templates should be generic — use
instead of company-specific names - Remove any proprietary or sensitive content from system prompts
- Provide clear, helpful descriptions
- No harmful, misleading, or low-quality content
- Test your template before submitting
Updating After Revision Request
If revision is requested:
- Go to Marketplace > My Submissions
- Find the submission with "Revision Requested" status
- Review the reviewer notes
- Update your manifest and resubmit
Tracking Status
View all your submissions at Marketplace > My Submissions. Each shows current status, submission date, and reviewer notes if applicable.
