Upgrading
Upgrade or downgrade your HELIX plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
How to Upgrade
- Log in as an admin
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Select your new plan (Pro or Enterprise)
- Complete payment
- Your new license key is activated automatically
What Happens on Upgrade
When you upgrade:
- Agent limit increases immediately — you can create more agents right away
- Skill limit increases — add more skills to your agents
- New features unlock — Telegram, advanced memory, etc. (depending on plan)
- No restart required — the backend picks up the new limits automatically
- Billing is pro-rated — you only pay the difference for the remainder of your billing cycle
What Happens on Downgrade
When you downgrade:
- No agents are deleted — existing agents above the new limit continue to work
- No skills are removed — existing skills remain accessible
- Soft warning — the dashboard shows a notice that you're over the plan limit
- Cannot create new — you can't create agents or skills above the new limit until you remove some
- Takes effect at next billing cycle — you keep the current plan features until then
TIP
Before downgrading, review your agent count and skill count to ensure you're within the new plan's limits.
Pro-Rated Billing
HELIX uses pro-rated billing:
- Upgrade mid-cycle: You pay the price difference for the remaining days
- Downgrade mid-cycle: Credit is applied to your next billing cycle
- Annual plans: Pro-rated based on remaining months
Switching Between Monthly and Annual
- Monthly → Annual: Pay the annual price minus any credit from your current month
- Annual → Monthly: Takes effect after your annual term ends
- Annual discount: 20% compared to monthly billing
Enterprise Upgrades
For Enterprise plans:
- Contact enterprise@helixnode.tech
- Discuss your requirements (agent count, support SLA, SSO needs)
- Receive a custom quote and license key
- Activate the Enterprise license key in Settings > Billing
Enterprise features include:
- Unlimited agents, skills, and team members
- SSO/SAML integration
- Hourly automated backups
- Dedicated support channel
- Custom SLA
