Align AI agent work with your organization's strategic objectives using a cascading goal hierarchy.
Overview
HELIX Goals lets you define a three-level strategy hierarchy: Mission at the top, Objectives in the middle, and Key Results at the bottom. Goals cascade context into agent prompts so every task is connected to a strategic purpose.
Goal Hierarchy

Views
Toggle between two views:
- Tree View — hierarchical visualization showing how goals cascade from mission to key results
- List View — flat list for quick scanning and bulk operations
Creating Goals
Click Create Goal to define a new goal with:
- Title and Description
- Level — Mission, Objective, or Key Result
- Parent Goal — which higher-level goal this supports
- Department and Board scoping
- Progress — manual percentage or auto-calculated from linked tasks
Strategic Context in Agent Prompts
When you link tasks to goals, agents receive a Strategic Context section in their prompt at execution time. This helps agents understand why they're doing a task, leading to better-aligned outputs.
Progress Tracking
Goal progress can be:
- Manual — you update the percentage directly
- Auto-calculated — progress derived from completion of linked tasks
Use Cases
- Q1 OKR tracking — set your company mission, break it into objectives per department, and measure key results by task completion rates
- Agent alignment — link all marketing tasks to "Increase brand awareness" so marketing agents reference this goal in their output
Tips
- Start with one mission and 3-5 objectives — don't overcomplicate the hierarchy
- Link every task to a goal so agents always have strategic context
- Review goal progress weekly to ensure agent work is moving the needle
